While most of the country and world are in heaps upon heaps of snow, I have been enjoying crisp and perfect 80 degree weather in South Florida. Don’t think I am rubbing it in, because I am merely here to heal my broken arm that I got while in the bitter cold; so I definitely feel your pain! Why don’t we all get on the same page and begin lusting after spring and summer bags. Nothing says warm weather like a tinge of green alongside a burlap body, like found in the Miu Miu Burlap Leather Drawstring Satchel. The sometimes redhead beauty who lives a roller coaster life posed in countless pictures for the the design house. Her ad shots have been accepted widely, showing that this young girl can pull of elegant, sleek, and sophisticated. One of the most memorable shots shows Lohan holding the Miu Miu Patchwork Tote, which alternates silver and gold leather. Silver and gold metallic is in and ready to be toted on the hands of bag fashionistas world wide. A smaller version of what Lohan was pictured with, the Miu Miu Metallic Patchwork Handbag is designed in a patchwork style with gold and silver metallic leather and silver handles. On the hunt for the perfect green bag, I stumbled across the Miu Miu Coffer in an army green leather. The subtle green leather is ruched and paired with gold hardware. I am a huge Miu Miu fan, and the coffer is one of my favorites, bringing together a braided strap and an across body shoulder strap. So many versions of the Coffer, what do you think of this version/color? Through Net-A-Porter for $1445.

I saw this Miu Miu calf soft clutch in gold at Neiman Marcus the other day, and it caught my eye. With measurements of 8 1/2″H x 17 1/3″W x 1 2/3″D, it’s kind of a monster of a clutch. The gold only increases the high visibility. At first, I thought, how ridiculous. What is the point of a clutch that’s bigger than the average shoulder bag? I had to know how it looked, though, and I picked it up and held it in front of a mirror. The thing is actually pretty damn cool! It’s lightweight, so the size doesn’t matter in that respect, and it fits comfortably in the crook of your arm. With the day clutch being hailed as a huge trend, this bag actually really works. Who said clutches have to be small? In a strange way, this monster clutch is a bit more practical for daytime use than its bitty friends. While the size is the most obvious feature, the bag also boasts other details that make it pretty desirable. I love the pleating! So feminine and fun. Pleats make everything better. And the subtle placement of logo is nice. The bag is enough of a statement that an obvious MIU MIU would be quite off-putting. The gold is very metallic, but the tone is a soft yellow gold that doesn’t offend. This bag may not be for everyone, but if you want it, get it for $715 at neimanmarcus.

Being an American traveling in Europe makes you realize just how young the United States are. The endless numbers of castles, architecture, buildings, and styles seen in Europe are mind-boggling. We made it to quite a few stunning cathedrals and castles, stayed in a hotel that manifested its beauty in age and refinement, and saw artwork and sculptures that made my jaw drop. But can a handbag that reminds you of Joan of Arc be just as stunning? I am not sold on the fact that it transfers over. The feelings behind the Miu Miu Honeycomb Metallic Clutch shows age with honeycomb/antiqued effects on the sides and mesh/chain-like linking on the front. The brown with gold metallic finish really ages the clutch, which meets at the gathered top. I attempted to let this clutch grow on me, but I think I will stick to visiting Europe to get my dose of old-beauty and stick to new beauty in my hand. Buy via Net-A-Porter for $685.

As a Miami Heat fan, the term ‘White Hot’ is an integral part of my vocabulary (that is when the Heat can pull-it-together). Like a broken record, I keep repeating myself going on and on about the hot factor of white handbags. Adding another contender to the list of white hot designer handbags, Miu Miu gives us a rendition of sophistication and elegance in the Miu Miu Rectangular Leather Tote. Clean white leather is offset with gold hardware and paired with a clasp fastening strap on the top. This strap adds so much to the bag without being much, if you get what I mean. This is South Beach hot. Today I have some sort of uncontrollable itch for a colorful (or color-less) bag. You must admit, this is white hot on a sexy elegant level. Just under $1000 via NAP.

Love the Prada Gaufre but hate the price? Then check out some of the latest designs from Miu Miu, the younger sister of Prada but also the just as pretty sister. Not exactly boasting the ruching but sporting elegant style and an across body option, the Miu Miu Nappa Soft Tote is a stunning option if the Prada price tag is a bit much. This is Miu Miu all grown up and at the ball to meet her Prince Charming, sporting lush Nappa leather, understated buckled detailing on the double handles, and chic pleating on the front. The color is an off-white, named Cera. Measuring 8″H X 15″W X 4″D, this beauty comes directly from Italy. My babble about the price holds up against a new Prada bag, but the price tag is still not super cheap, but not up there rolling with the big big girls. $1,385 at Saks.

The oversized handbag trend is still lingering, so many designers are deciding to keep riding the oversized wave and move on to clutches. What many designers cease to remember is that a clutch is meant to be carried in your hand. Make a visual image of how large you think Miu Miu has made this clutch, and take a better look and learn more after the jump.

Shocking and overwhelming right? There is no way I could comfortably carry a foot and a half wide clutch in my hand. I may be 5′10, but my hands are delicate and small, and this would totally not work. The Miu Miu Oversized Suede Clutch sports a suede plum and red tie dye pattern with pleat detailing and has so much potential, but the size is downright obscene. Coming in at a truly oversized 18″ x 11″ x 2.5″, this clutch is as large as many handbags, but without the shoulder strap. The oversized clutch trend hopefully will not last too long, because it will be uncomfortable and hard to pull off. I dig this clutch, if it were about 1/3 the size. Via NAP for $950.

The shape is nothing special, but in fact, the shape of this designer handbag really pays homage to others in my opinion. Does this bag slightly resemble the Louis Vuitton Speedy to you? The Miu Miu Bowling Bag is simple enough, sporting black leather and gold hardware with double top handles. The handles would make this bag hard to put on your shoulder, unless you are far smaller than me (which is feasible, since I am 5′10). The inside is lined in canvas and there is a zip top closure. Buy this black leather handbag at Net-A-Porter for $995.
